Adam Hicks has been a part of the Pride Football coaching staff since the very beginning of the program. Starting out as an assistant coach and defensive coordinator for the team in 2019, Hicks began to achieve small goals on the defensive end of the game. Later becoming head coach in 2023, Adam Hicks has remained a constant for the team for what would be a three-season run with the Pride.

On Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026, the Clarke Football team was informed that their head coach had decided not to return for the upcoming 2026-2027 season. The news was delivered to the players directly from Hicks himself and was received with mixed emotions. Deciding to take on a new coaching opportunity elsewhere, Hicks is ending his head coaching career with the Pride this school year.

Current coaches are still said to be returning for future seasons. Players were notified by Athletic Director Curt Long that he is actively searching for a new head coach for the team. Prospects for the position may potentially include a current member of the coaching staff. Long also informed players that he will continue in communication with them on the possible filling of the position within the next 3-4 weeks.
